Brief Rules

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

2. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 am EST Aug 2, 2000 and ends at 11:59 pm EST on November 2, 2000. Sweepstakes is open to any individual age 18 or older who is a legal resident of the United States and has a valid email address. To enter, (1) fill in your first and last name and e-mail address on the entry form (http://www.contestclick.com) and click on the "Enter Contest & Visit Cool Site" button, (2) join Contest Click's Click To Win mailing list and click on the special email link daily or (3) hand printing your name, complete address, phone number and e-mail address on a 3" x 5" postcard and mailing the card to "March-April $500 Contest", 118 Selden Rd. Newport News, VA 23606. No mechanically reproduced or facsimile entries permitted. Entrants using mail may enter once per day, but entries must be postmarked by Nov 2, 2000 and received by Nov 5, 2000.

3. Only one entry per person per day. In addition, only one entry per email address per day. Entries are void if they contain typographical or other errors. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means are void. Entries which are mutilated, altered, incomplete, tampered with, illegible, inaccurate, forged, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are also void.

4. One (1) winner will be selected on November 5, 2000. The random drawing will be conducted by ContestClick and all decisions are final. The winner will be notified by email. The winner must respond within 7 days from date of notice, otherwise an alternate winner will be chosen and the prize forfeited. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

5. The winner will receive $1000 US Dollars, paid by check. No prize substitutions, transfers, or cash alternatives permitted except ContestClick reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at the ContestClick's sole discretion. The return of any prize notification or prize as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner at ContestClick's sole discretion. You are not a winner unless your submissions are validated. By entering, each winner accepts all of the conditions, restrictions, requirements, and/or regulations required by ContestClick and also agrees to accept delivery of prize based upon availability. Unless otherwise prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, picture, likeness, address (city and state), and biographical information for advertising and publicity purposes for ContestClick and for this and/or similar promotions, without compensation.

6. Entries and any other submitted material become the property of ContestClick and will not be acknowledged or returned. ContestClick, its Sponsors, and those working for their behalf will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or damaged email or mail and for Internet, computer hardware, computer software, phone or other technical errors, malfunctions, and delays. In the event of a dispute concerning who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized holder of the email account with which the entry is made. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person to whom an email address is assigned by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

7. ContestClick reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or cancel all or any portions of the Sweepstakes because of technical errors or malfunctions, viruses, hackers, or for other reasons that corrupt the Sweepstakes in any manner. ContestClick also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who fails to comply with these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the Sweepstakes in any manner or through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, or who attempts to disrupt the Sweepstakes or to circumvent any of these Official Rules.

8. Employees of both ContestClick and the Sponsor and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to enter. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of ContestClick and these Official Rules and to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. All federal, state, and local taxes are the winner’s sole responsibility.

9. Entrants agree to release and hold harmless ContestClick, its Sponsors, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns, from any damage, injury, death, loss, or other liability that may arise from enrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or the awarding, acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, taxed, or otherwise restricted.

10. To obtain the name of the prize winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: ContestClick, 118 Selden Rd. Newport News, VA 23606. All winner requests must be received by November 2, 2000.
